What Are the Best Things to See and Do in Las Palomas?
Las Palomas is tiny, and the one attraction inside it is a birding stop. The Bureau of Land Management looks after Las Palomas Marsh, a livestock exclosure of mesquite scrub and willow that appears on the state birding trail. Everything else worth a stop sits a few miles up or down the Rio Grande, in Caballo, Williamsburg and Truth or Consequences. The marsh is a gravel road pullout with no facilities, so carry water and check conditions.
